My name is Kaylin Guzman and I am the Founder of Always Keep in Mind. Because of my passion for education and community service, I created “AKIM” in July of 2020 in response to COVID-19 with the idea that communities are only as strong as their members. I was raised in Brooklyn, New York, and attended Medgar Evers High School. Shortly after graduating high school, I moved to Jersey City, New Jersey. My personal experiences and observations of the political interrelatedness between politics and the community drove me to study Criminal Justice. In 2019, I was awarded my Associate of Science Degree in Criminal Justice at Hudson County Community College. After, I transferred to Rutgers University Newark and accomplished my Bachelor of Science and Master of Arts in Criminal Justice by successfully completing the Accelerated Master’s Program.

Presently, I am on my Law School journey and anticipate graduating from Miami University School of Law in 2025. My personal aspiration is to become an attorney and promote representation for minority groups, disadvantaged individuals, and all. I hope to bridge the gap between legal education and low income communities.
